A few weeks ago I got a call from a very nice woman at the Commercial Appeal who wanted to know if I might like to do a weekly parenting column. "Sure, why not?" I said.
Wait, weekly...that's a lot of pressure! I thought.
"Can I bring my friend, RJA?" I asked.
She agreed, and now RJA (who's true identity will soon be revealed!) and I are taking turns writing a parenting column entitled, "Because I Said So." It's going to run on the cover of the "M" section every Thursday, starting tomorrow.
And apparently, it's going to be posted on website the Wednesday before. So, by all means buy yourself a paper tomorrow! But if you can't wait, read my first installment Hey Ma! Can I wear my birthday suit now? online.

anonymous--i'm not sure what you are talking about. my blog title--fertile ground--comes from the zine i started 5 years ago.
i read that article and don't see any thing about fertile ground in it.
