Broad Avenue Bike Ride

Yesterday we took our first bike ride of the year down Broad Avenue. A train stopped us in our tracks, so we decided to take a little detour. Maybe not the best detour ever since we ended up having to push our bikes most of the way, due to rocks and Jiro's flat tire. But it was still fun, and I think we'll really appreciate the Greenline once it's done!

The best part of our outing was finding an exercise, excuse me, GIANT BOUNCY BALL on the side of the tracks. Jiro literally bounced all the way home. It was hilarious.

Now you have a exercise ball to bring to work and sit on! And that means I won't have to worry about getting that for you for your birthday.

Just got a mini-pump. With the patch kit in our Team Oster away bag, we'll be running a tight system on our next excursion!

One of my memorable bike rides at age 8 was when a couple friends and i spent a whole day exploring the trails of USMC Camp HM Smith in Hawaii. We found a bunch of live rounds of blank bullets and smoke hand grenades in the boonies where they had done training. We also rode through a building that was teargassed and were gagging for about 1/2 hour afterward.
