After having Brunch with Santa, we took a trolley ride. (All eleven of us.) It was Scarlett's (age 2) first time ever, and our first in a while, so it was very nice.
Afterwards, my mom and I went to the "Made in Memphis" holiday arts & crafts show, while the boys hung at the house. I got a really awesome clock made from a Dr. Seuss book and ordered a knit cap from the woman who made the two I have been wearing non-stop since purchasing them in November.
Then I took the monkeys to Fun Cuts for a haircut in anticipation of our Sunday photo shoot with Melissa. I took Satchel to Fun Cuts for his very first haircut, but hadn't been in awhile. I decided to go there since I needed to run by my sister's house anyways. It's actually a new Fun Cuts--not sure what happened to the old one. I wasn't prepared for the indoor playground, four computers stocked with Nintendos, and the abundance of toys. (I would have come much earlier with a book rather than trying to get them in and out quickly.) The haircuts cost about $6 bucks more than Sport Clips where we usually go, but the free babysitting is worth $6! (I'm kidding.) But actually, they both got the best cuts they've had in awhile.
After the haircuts and quick trip to my sister's house, I rushed the boys through McDonald's and then home. My mom came to babysit so Warren & I could go out to dinner with Vanessa, Liz, and Natasha. We had a feast at Umai. (Sorry, I couldn't resist taking a picture of the sushi.)
We realized it was the first time the four of us had ever had a meal without the kids. (Natasha doesn't count because she's only two months old and we're old pros!) Speaking of Natasha, isn't she cute? She's so cute, in fact, that I realized no one got their picture taken unless they were holding her!
After dinner we all went to see Milk. Yes, we snuck a two month old baby into the theater on Saturday night even though we knew it was against policy! No, Natasha didn't like the movie. Yes, Vanessa, Liz, and Natasha had to leave early. No, we won't do it again. Even old pros have their limits.
I was happy that Warren and I got to stay because Milk was an awesome movie. (We gave Vanessa and Liz a play by play the next day.)
