Jiro had another project due last week--an instrument made from recycled materials. He decided that he wanted to do a box bass guitar. I helped him research what he would need and oversaw the essay writing portion of the project.
He's getting very good at writing in complete sentences. Must be the added benefit of sitting in a chair like that! Once the essay was done, he decided to take a break before doing his diagram.
Meet Ultimateo.
We collected the items needed to construct the bass, and then Warren took charge (thank goodness).
Jiro was very involved, but lest you get the wrong idea, there was a lot of goofing off too. Jiro is perfecting his Gangnam style dance moves, and asked me to film this video and post it on Facebook. "No, don't post it on Facebook!" he later said. He didn't mention anything about my blog.
Once the bass was complete, we put it on the mantel for safe keeping. I barely managed to get a shot of the finished project before Jiro took it to school. It actually sounded really cool.
And there you have it. And no, I don't plan to obsessively document their every school project.
