The sofa is here!
And now we need to decide on a rug. On the one hand, the Internet makes it easy because we can just sit here in comfort (on our sofa) and look at thousands of rugs while the monkeys sleep. On the other hand, it's impossible because there are THOUSANDS of rugs on the Internet!
Here are a few I like, very few of which Warren likes. The sofa is brown but with reddish tones. Our fireplace has pale green tiles. There's white trim. We have a painting over the fireplace that has lots of browns and greens. But it can go. As can the current reddish toned curtains. The rest of the house is likely to be incredibly colorful.
Decorating is hard.

i advise no white backrounds. personally, i would need to see the rug in person. but, i love the green one.
This is too hard. I'm horrible at picking out rugs! The couch looks awesome, though.
I'd go with #2. Under no circumstances would I go with #1.
they all make me kinda queasey...
i need dimensions, and the posted pics are of the entire, zoom backed, whole view of the rug, not just a close up of the patern?
Keeping your pets' hair colors in mind, I'd go with #4, assuming that's a dark green background. With the brown walls and brown couch, I can't see going with a brown-on-brown rug. That's a lot of brown. And this is coming from a Brown.
I'll get you a rug. Me and Vito'll pick a rug up for you for next to nothing.
I like #4. It has browns and greens.
i take it neither one of you suffer from migraines...
i like the tree rug :)
and that is a yummy sofa as well.
I like 1. It's fun and colorful. I would try to see it in person though, just to make sure. I tend to like crazy and colorful rugs though.
I'm not crazy about any of them, but I kinda like the green river looking one. The second one is neat but I agree about it being too much brown for the brown room. I think you should go ahead and paint the walls that light wasabi green color--it would look awesome with the new couch.
the top one gets my vote, although the one under it is a close second.
