Egghunting
Once again we attended the Egg Hunt at the Botanic Garden.
Last year I complained that they only hid 50 eggs on the grounds. This year they hid over 75, however we found none of them--despite being early and having an archaeologist in tow. I just don't get that.
The "easy" hunts where you basically take off running towards some eggs in plain sight was still a hit with the kids. I guess the saying, "the thrill of the hunt," stems from activities such as these.
Last year we left with movie tickets, Ben & Jerry's coupons, etc. This year we left with a couple of baskets full of teeny tiny erasers, plastic eye patches, Putt Putt coupons, and McDonald's freebies.
Eh.
I also didn't think the entertainment was as good as last year.
BUT...
The kids enjoyed themselves. It was a beautiful day. We got to see our family and friends. And we got in for free. (Thanks SAM!)
I'm looking forward to seeing their new Children's Garden.
