Great article. My little one loves her knock-off crocs (with Dora on them). My older kid ran over from the news last night and said not to let her wear them on escalators because tons of kids were getting stuck in them and losing toes due to crocs. Don't know anything more, but I thought I'd mention it. Seems weird to me that crocs should be especially troublesome.

Both my kids have knock-off Crocs that they love. Maya has had weird toe peeling happening, and the shoes look like absolute hell no matter how often they're cleaned, and Sadie has to wear socks with her Dora knock-off Crocs because they rub holes in her feet. I hate those damned shoes (I used to think they were great). They are forbidden at the preschool because of the climbing issues.
Same here - loved my Crocs: so comfortable for working on cement floors but after 3 weeks the skin peeled off my toes & soles of my feet - very painful.
