Actual Halloween Action

Halloween falling on a Sunday allows for a LOT of Halloween action. In addition to the party at school on Friday, the monkeys had a taekwondo lock-in on Saturday. Our plan for Sunday was to dress as KISS Army and go trick-or-treating in Evergreen with the Smiths, per usual.

Warren, after mildly procrastinating all weekend, decided he needed to study instead of trick or treating. Despite STILL being sick, I told him I would soldier on without him. However, when he called at 5pm to check on us, I think my pathetic snotty voice let him know that Halloween wasn't going to be the same without him.

He hurried home and soon turned Jiro into a little Gene Simmons.

Since it was getting close to dark, I refused to let him waste valuable candy getting time on my make up, and Satchel wasn't interested. He wanted to be a scarecrow for the 3rd year in a row. Fine by me.

Warren took our not playing along in stride and quickly turned himself into a skeleton.

For the first time ever, our part of the street is actually filled with kids, so I let the monkeys do a quick up and down to mingle with our neighborhood friends and personally distribute the candy Warren bought.

The other side of Autumn where the Smiths live is always hopping, and after about an hour, the monkeys' candy bags were stuffed. When we got home, I showed them how my sister, Tracey, & I used to sort our candy--partly because I think it's fun and partly because I wanted to see what all they got.

There was some trading and some eating and then we all watched the Walking Dead and went to bed.

You ALL watched the Walking Dead?! I've been told that show is too intense for me to watch it!

Jiro got a little scared, but overall I didn't think it was too much.
